The very first program of this year is suhuruliya initiative was held on 28th, 29th January 2020 on Monaragala District Secretariat under the patronage of Hon. State Minister of Women & Child Affairs, Mr.Vijitha Berugoda and participation of 125 women entrepreneurs ‘Shuruliya’ initiative is organized by Ministry of Women & Child Affairs and Social Security in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) with the aim of empowering women through ICT.

වත්මන් රජයේ කාන්තා හා ළමා කටයුතු නව රාජ්ය අමාත්යමවරයා වශයෙන් විජිත බේරුගොඩ මහතා 2019-11-28 දින බත්තරමුල්ල සෙත්සිරිපාය පිහිටි කාන්තා සහ ළමා කටයුතු රාජ්යර අමාත්යංකශයේ දී වැඩ භාර ගන්නා ලදී. ශ්රීන ලංකාවේ 52% පමණ වන කාන්තාවන් හා ලක්ෂ 72කටත් වඩා වැඩි ළමා පරපුරක් වෙනුවෙන් සේවය කිරීම සදහා රාජ්යං අමාත්යදවරයා වශයෙන් තමා ලද මෙම භාරදූර වගකීම ඉතාමත්ම සතුටින් භාරගන්නා බවත් උපරිම කැපවීමකින් යුතුව කාන්තාවන් හා ළමුන් ඇතුළු සමස්ථ රටේ සංවර්ධනයට කටයුතු කරන බවත් මෙම අවස්ථාවේ දී එතුමන් ප්ර්කාශ කරන ලදී. රටක සංවර්ධනය තහවුරු වීමට නම් ළමුන් හා කාන්තාවන් සතුටින් සිටින, සියලු දෙනාටම හිතකාමි සමාජ පරිසරයක් නිර්මාණය කිරීම
