12th Training of Trainers – Master Trainer Program of the ECD Project 2022

The 12th Training of Trainers (TOT) Master Trainer Program of the Early Childhood Development Project commenced on 15th August 2022 at the Community Education Centre in Thalahena, Malabe.

The TOT program supported by the Project aims to prepare the necessary pool of trainers to deliver short-term training across the nation. Currently the Project has trained 439 Master Trainers in its 5 year period. The TOT program includes many interactive sessions and discussion which participants actively participate. Participants who are selected as Master Trainers follow a residential training for a period of two weeks. The 12th batch of TOT candidates consist of 52 participants. They are mainly from the National resource pool of National Secretariat for Early Childhood Development, members from the Preschool Unit of the Western Province, members from the ECD Authority of the Uva council and ECD Officers from different Divisional secretariats.

The opening ceremony was held on the 15th of August in the presence of Early Childhood Development Project Director Mr Chandralal Premakumara, conducted by ECD Training Specialist Mr W. D. Madurawala with the participation of the members of the ECD Project Unit.
