2025 World Children’s Day message Hon Minister of Women and Child Affairs
Children’s Day reminds us of a truth that is all too easy to forget — that children do not belong only to today, but also to the future. In their eyes, we see uncorrupted honesty, freshness, creative imagination, and courage. These are qualities that are urgently needed in today’s world, yet increasingly rare. Therefore, as adults, we must be humble enough to learn from children.
As a government, among the many forces that guide leadership in society, we have put forward our policy declaration under the vision of "A Thriving Nation – A Beautiful Life", with a specific focus on "A safer world for children - A creative future generation". This vision outlines our commitment and plans for the wellbeing of the nation’s children.
From early childhood through to becoming responsible citizens in society, we are committed to protecting children’s rights, without discrimination based on nationality, religion, or gender identity and to ensuring that no child is left behind. We strive to meet their needs for nutrition, education, and care, while also creating fair access to resources and opportunities for all.
We firmly believe that every decision made on behalf of children is an investment in the future.
With this year’s theme "Nurture With Love – To lead the World", let this World Children’s Day be an opportunity for you, me, and society at large to deepen our sensitivity toward children and to grow closer to them through mutual compassion and understanding.
So, to all our beloved children;
You are the ones who carry the promise of tomorrow for the whole world.
We stand beside you, hand in hand, as a protective wall of love.
