On the 28^th January 2025, Hon. Minister of Women and Child Affairs had the pleasure of meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie Chung, at the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs. Hon. Deputy Minister of Women and Child Affairs, Dr. Namal Sudarshana, also joined the discussions.

The meeting focused on addressing the challenges faced by Sri Lankan women and exploring ways to further enhance the bilateral cooperation between Sri Lanka and the United States.
