The United Nations has introduced the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to drive long-term development that priorities environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Countries are actively formulating and executing plans to realise their objectives, articulated through 17 key goals spanning the period from 2015 to 2030.
The Ministry of Women and Child Affairs is firmly committed to achieving Sustainable Development Goal No. 05, which centres on gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls. With the robust support of the Sustainable Development Council, this Ministry is taking decisive action in collaboration with all relevant line Ministries to ensure the successful realisation of the targets within Goal No. 05.
